Our Founder: Walking the Walk
The founder of Corporate Health & Fitness, Sarah K. is passionate about health and wellness. She started a career in International Relations. After nearly 10 years of working in public service, she realized the toll and office job and long commute was having on her own health and that of her colleagues. Always one to pursue fitness, Sarah realized that her true passion was health and helping others improve their own health and decided to make a career change. She went back to graduate school where she earned her Master of Science degree in Health Promotion at American University. There, she also received a Master-level Certificate in Nutrition Education. Sarah believes strongly in preventive healthcare and works with clients in the DC area to achieve healthy outcomes and prevent chronic disease through lifestyle changes. Clients describe her as “warm, empathetic, and kind” and as someone who “really gets it.” She understands that healthy living is not always the easiest, but she strives to make it accessible and manageable for everyone.
Sarah has been a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor since 2006. She enjoys sharing her passion for healthy living through exercise. She is also a Corrective Exercise Specialist, a certified Spinning instructor, USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach, Yoga Instructor, Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program Instructor, and TRX instructor.
When she isn’t busy bringing health and wellness to the people, Sarah can be found training for her next Triathlon or in her kitchen, creating new ways to enjoy veggies.
